If you’re wondering why the promo begins on a down note, then keep in mind that it was designed as a tool to motivate the skeptical pro am poolplayer. They’re generally not quick to adopt something new. The approach utilizes the thinking in sales that you need to take certain people to “their point of misery”” before getting them off the fence to engage in something they will come to like and will benefit them. Future promos will target other types of poolplayers and will assume a positive tone throughout.
